Urban Roots Gardening for All with Innovations High School
The Urban Roots Gardening for All program supported Innovations High School students and teachers by helping them plan, build, grow, and steward a new school garden to be a space for experiential learning, community engagement, and increased wellbeing.

The workshop series allowed students to enhance their artistic voice alongside professionals in a new environment. Unique artistic expression was fostered, thoughtful critiques were shared, and creative uncertainty was challenged head-on, leading to greater self-awareness. Learners walked away with a better understanding of themselves in the context of the broader Las Vegas community, and realized that their authentic impact is crucial to the continuity of culture, creative progress, and vision in Nevada.

Urban Roots programs are built upon the values of collaboration, community building, and skill sharing. Gardening for All emphasizes creating sustainable models that empower learners to grow their own food and share new skills with peers.
